If you ever drive around San Francisco on a weekday, you have probably noticed a whole lot of open houses. If you’re wondering if it’s Sunday again, or who the heck has time to go house hunting on a Tuesday in the middle of the day, don’t stress – it’s the San Francisco Broker’s Tour.
The intent is primarily for agents to preview for their clients and keep a pulse on inventory. Current and future clients are always welcome at our Brokers Tours.
Rather than having agents set their own open house times, the San Francisco Association of REALTORS®️ (SFAR) has pre-scheduled when each neighborhood hosts their showings. This allows agents to preview the entire city in a somewhat efficient manner, rather than zig-zagging back and forth across the city all day.
The main brokers tour is on Tuesdays, but SOMA, South Beach, Mission Bay and Yerba Buena have their own tours on Wednesdays.
They further segment the start and end times by age of the listing. If it’s a new listing, the tour starts at the top of the hour; and if it’s a repeat listing (2nd+ showing), it starts on the half-hour.
In practice, it would be impossible to see everything, but at least neighborhoods are clustered together.
